Wines

While Ticket Cellars seeks to create a unique, fun experience in everything we do, first and foremost we are about making memorable artisan wines that exhibit the intense flavors and character of each variety.

From the selection of special blocks of choice grapes within a vineyard, to hand-processing our fruit, to using small open top fermenting tanks and barrels and 100% French oak, our wines receive the care and attention required to produce exceptional quality.

We have several key philosophies that help us along the way:

  • Grapes – great wines start with great grapes so we source from only premium appellations and the best vineyards around California. We also pick varieties and locations that complement our wine-making style.
  • Blending – this is where science meets artisan meets gourmet. If you have ever participated in a wine blending (and if you haven’t and wanted to, now you can with our VIP club), a lot like a world-class recipe, it is amazing what a fine tweak or addition can do. We keep blending (we know, a tough job…) until we find the most complimentary wine and one that we think you will ultimately love.
  • Style - we want our wines bold yet balanced. Über-oaked, over-extracted, high-alcohol, or mouth-puckering with tannins are not on our itinerary. We work throughout the winemaking process to bring out as much of the inherent fruit as we can while layering in the right supporting elements for enhanced aroma, mouthfeel, and structure. We think you’ll find the result to be wines full of flavor that remain smooth and approachable.

Our goal is to create wines that are fantastic on their own, balanced enough to drink brilliantly with that mid-week whatever-is-in-your-cupboard meal (you know the one that ends up being awesome, but you probably couldn’t make it again if you tried), but can also put the spotlight on a special occasion. We hope our wines can be a part of your next wine memory or adventure.

Our current feature presentations are below. Stay tuned... a rock star Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley, a spectacular Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and our next Front Row Zinfandel are in the lineup for our coming attractions.
