Our 2006 Front Row is primarily from Tom Feeney Ranch. This vineyard produces seriously good fruit, along with a very limited crop, making it some of the most sought-after old-vine Zinfandel anywhere. The final wine has rich yet elegant berry flavors integrated with subtle hints of vanilla, white pepper and spice.
Vineyards: Predominantly Tom Feeney in Russian River Valley with a touch of Zinfandel from Beatty Ranch in Napa Valley and Petite Sirah from Eagle Point Ranch in Mendocino
Blend: 99% Zinfandel (96% Tom Feeney Ranch, 2% Beatty Ranch), 1% Petite Sirah
Winemaking: Hand-sorted, 100% de-stemmed; Aged 15 months in 100% French Oak, 33% New; Coopers Francois Frères, Allier (medium toast)
Wine Composition: pH: 3.79; TA: .63; VA: 0.81; Alcohol 14.6%
Production: 25 cases / 300 bottles bottled on April 10, 2008; released September 2009.
