Our 2008 Golden Ticket features the aromatics and vibrant fruit of Catie’s Corner Viognier with the restrained elegance of Roussanne and a rich palate pleasing dose of Marsanne. This is a white wine with pizzazz, oomph and style.
Vineyards: Predominantly Catie’s Corner Viognier with Roussanne and Marsanne from Saralee’s. Both vineyards are from the Russian River Valley AVA.
Blend: 85% Viognier, 5% Marsanne, 10% Roussanne.
Winemaking: Hand-sorted, 100% de-stemmed; Aged 9 months in 100% Stainless Steel.
Wine Composition: pH: 3.44; TA: .61; Alcohol 14.0%; VA : 0.42.
Production: 25 cases / 300 bottles; bottled on June 13, 2009; released September 2009.
Show-stopping pairings: Excellent with spicy dishes like Thai food, San Francisco-style Cioppino, Vietnamese clay-pot, or (a personal favorite!) New Mexico green chile stew.
