Suite Three Syrah 2007
Our 2007 Suite Three showcases the richness of Syrah from the high elevation Alder Springs Vineyard, famous for its deep, dark fruit. Blended with a bit of Petite Sirah and Viognier, this reveals elements of brightness, berries, and spice, resulting in a complex wine that is still smooth and welcoming.
Vineyards: Predominantly Alder Springs Syrah with a bit of Thompson Syrah from Santa Barbara, Eaglepoint Petite Sirah from Mendocino, and a splash of Catie’s Corner Viognier from Russian River Valley.
Blend: 96% Syrah (92% Alder Springs, 4% Thompson), 3% Petite Sirah, and1% Viognier.
Winemaking: Hand-sorted, 100% de-stemmed; Aged 16 months in 100% French Oak, 33% New; Coopers Francois Frères, Allier (medium plus toast).
Wine Composition: pH: 3.75; TA: 0.52; Alcohol 13.8%; VA : 0.72.
Production: 25 cases / 300 bottles; bottled on April 3, 2009; released July 2010.
Show-stopping pairings: Lamb roast, soy-ginger marinated short-ribs, or even a hearty gourmet burger.
